Abstract
Categories of harmony, symmetry and beauty are considered in their historical development and interaction from the Pythagorean school to modern subatomic physics. The role of symmetry of the similarity of fractal structures and the golden section in scientific and artistic culture is discussed. The authors proposition is to regarded the triad: harmony - symmetry - beauty as an indivisible, inseparable trinity.
